Points & Frills

Hello lovelies,

Today I want to show this outfit I wore a couple of weeks back when me and the boyfriend were popping out to grab some lunch. I love this Venessa Bruno skirt sooo much and I will always take the opportunity when possible to wear it, the colour is perfect, I adore the flirty shape and fit it, plus I find it an ideal transeasonal piece.

I've wanted to wear it in a preppy-chic way for a while but because its been a very cold winter, there hasn't been many opportunities to do so. Finally the day came where I woke to find the sun was shining, I was like Maan I'm just going to go for it (we'll pretend that mother nature didn't surprise us with a heavy downpour of rain and slight touch of the hail stones just as we finished our lunch and were about to leave) I wore it with my Cos A-line shirt and I am pretty sure they still sell it online, I'm thinking that I should buy a couple more of them as I love a good white shirt and with it having an A-line shape, I find it to be a great and very chic alternative to your everyday white shirt. I added in this cute little navy cardigan not only for that classic preppy touch but also because navy and olive is quickly becoming one of my favourite colour combos. Annoyingly it was to cold to go without tights, so they had stick around. And hey what do you think of these shoes? would you believe that I've had them since I was about sixteen years old, they were from New look, as I used to buy all my shoes from there when I was that age and with my obsession with keeping practically everything I buy, they found their way back into my life and I swear their one of the comfiest pair of shoes I own, which is crazy as I think I paid about £15-20 for them!

Anyway that's all my lovelies hope you like,

Daniella xx

Foggy

Helloo,

So the reason I called this post "foggy" is as you can probably already tell is because of the foggy weather we had when we were taking these photos. I wore this outfit over a month ago now and it was when I was up very early to go to London and well the weather was like I said very foggy. We had very little time and my sister was the only one available to take my photos, which meant I was unable to mess with the settings, so i've had to try and sort the pictures out myself but lets be honest they aren't great.

Anyway because I would be traveling and walking quite a bit throughout the day I needed to stay as comfy as I could, so the styling was really quite simple. I wore my splendid navy turtleneck with this super chic skirt by Vanessa Bruno, which you would of seen before but the last time I styled it was at LFW and I stupidly got carried away and forgot to take photos, such a shame because I really loved wearing that outfit. Oh well. I wore this navy Surface to air jacket, as not only dose is look cute with the skirt and of course keep me really warm but I also really like how the navy looks with the olive colour of my skirt.

I finished of with my Grenson brogues, as it doesn't get much comfier then these, unless I was willing to loose all sense of style. I as well wore my Marc by Marc jacobs bag, Topshop beanie (last time you'll see it featured in a post as this was the day it got stolen) and of course the Ray Bans. All great pieces for bringing a slightly edgier tone to the look.

Well Thats all for now folks. Back soon (with some good pictures) and take care,

Dressed Up Bed Wear

Hellooo,

So I am not the best at packing away all my seasonal clothes, like some will go away until next summer but some will stay hanging up through the winter, in the hope of being able to get super creative and somehow make them work for the winter. 1. because I love my clothes so much, I can not bare to part from them and 2. well quite a few of my pieces are not what I consider to be cheap and dam it we are in a financial crisis! Which means I have to be savvy and make the most out of my buys.

With all this being said, do you remember these Vanessa Bruno silk striped trousers from the summer? Well they are back with a winter/autumn make over. Yes they are paper thin and before some smarty pants makes the "but weren't you cold" remark, no, no I wasn't! I wore a pair of grey leggings underneath them and yes I said leggings because yes I do own them and no they don't only have to be worn with Ugg boots and preppy hoodies, or is that just where I live?! Originally the idea was for them not show but then I was indecisive about that and kinda just let them do their own thing and if they peeped out the bottom of the trousers, then that would be fine, guess it just adds detail to the look. I styled them with my charcoal grey Cos sweater from last year and my Topshop camel coat also from last year, the sweater was cosy and the coat gave the outfit some classic and tailored direction. I liked how with adding the classic shoes and accessories, with the exception of my sparkle sparkle beanie the look ended up feeling and looking like bed wear with glam and chic twist.

Before I go we have all been there right, when it gets really awkward shooting your pictures in a public place because of those people who were either not bought up with manners or just forget and simply go right ahead and stare. Well it's for that reason I tend to take my pictures somewhere a little more quite as it just puts me on edge and then it shows in my photos but this day I was feeling a little brave and went to my usual spot for when I am feeling brave, all was fine until this one guy decided to not only obviously stare whilst passing by but actually stop to watch for about ten minutes, or least it felt that long. I mean he might as well of pitched up a tent and made himself a nice cup of tea! At first I was like okay, weird but then I just broke out into laughter and couldn't stop but luckily I found some pictures where I had managed to compose myself. Ahh the joys of being a blogger!

Well I hope you like the look. Thank you my dears and take care,

PJ Stripes

Hi everyone,

First of all sorry if the pictures are not that great, the lighting is so bright behind but i was in a rush to get them done and the weather was just so windy that day.

So maybe silk trousers were not the greatest idea to wear on a horrifically windy day but if I had kept on waiting for the weather to sort it's life out, i'd of never been able to wear these beautiful Vanessa Bruno trousers!

Anyway the styling as you can see was pretty simple, I wore these Pyjama-esque Trousers by Vanessa Bruno which i've been dying to wear since early spring, YES SPRING! So with them I wore just my simple navy Waffle knit from Topshop boutique, I really liked how the navy looked against the soft blue on the trousers (which you can't really see but next time i wear these, i'll try and remember to get a close up).

I then wore my Chanel bag as you should know by now my love for navy and black together. Wearing a bag across the bode like this creates a laid back and effortless feel. I wore my Stella McCartney sandals for a chic and barely there approach. Also I must admit that embarrassingly I buttoned them up wrong, so thats why they are doing a weird thing at the top! It's so annoying, I mean the Boyfriend could of pointed that little fact out for me, Men!

Anyway I am super hoping you will all like this look despite the trousers situation. Thank you and Take care, Daniella xox
