PFW Day Two: Outfit Two

Hello lovelies,

Here is the outfit I wore on my second day when I was in Paris for fashion week. Just before I went I treated myself to a couple of new things from Topshop. Firstly I bought this check print shirt from their Unique range, as I had been craving it for so long and I also came across this pretty amazing military green trench coat from Topshop's Boutique range. I love trench coats, they are so classic and so chic and plus I am super into all green coats/jackets right now, so it had to be done.

I loved how these two pieces looked styled together and with that I found myself a starting point. And yes before anyone says, I did have multiple layers on underneath these thin pieces, even including a turtleneck but yes I was still frozen to the core, thank god for my awesome boyfriend coming to my rescue and bringing me an extra coat. I wore my navy Carven trousers with a classic brown belt, I just love these trousers so much, a favourite of mine for sure and I just felt they deserved to be worn at PFW, don't you agree? I wore them with my Jil Sander metallic brogues, another wardrobe fave of mine, I love how they looked against the rich navy blue and military green, whilst also giving of that 1920's androgynous appeal that I adore oh so much, it just never seems to dates and always looks chic. I added in my Missoni scarf for subtle play on prints and wore my Illesteva Sunglasses for a small touch of some good old, mad professor sexiness :D

I really enjoyed my second day there, probably because it was the only full day I had in Paris which made it feel a lot more relaxed and enjoyable. There were other reasons also but for now I'll remain quite on that one… Yes i'm one of those people! Once again Thank you Stedentrips for making Paris fashion week possisible!

Anyway hope you like this look. Thank you for always leaving me such lovely comments, I always look forward to reading them,

Wish I Was Wearing..

Hi everyone,

Here is my latest "Wish I was Wearing" post. I thought rather then choosing one statement piece i'd choose a few and team them together. I chose this red snake print shirt by Equipment as I have the same one only in yellow, so I know it's just as amazing on as it is off. To mimic those statement qualities, I think a Statement necklace like this one by Shourouk is the way to go, it may seem OTT but trust me when this combo is worn with the right pieces is works like a charm!

By picking a full skirt compliments the ultra ladylike appeal of the necklace but by picking one in this khaki colour gives the look a subtle urban-chic feel and this one by Cos is more then perfect for the job. Now to add some unexpectedness, I thought this padded jacket by Joseph was perfect as not only is it unexpected but it's great for downplaying the more dressed up tones of the outfit, creating an interesting smart/casual contrast. Now for the shoes, how could I not pick these amazing boots by Topshop Unique?! They have a killer heel and work really well into those urban-chic qualities. They also come in black but by picking the khaki ones gave of a continuation effect which is much better for creating a taller silhouette.

Well hope you like this post. Thank you for any comments and take care,

Tropic

Hi everyone,

Just a little photo post for you today. I wanted to renew this Topshop Unique Hawaiian shirt that I had bought years ago. I haven't worn it for a while and I wanted to create a look with the shirt that was reflective on my current sense of style. So I went for a minimal approach whilst incorporating colour.

I chose my SportMax Yellow wide leg trousers as what better way to incorporate colour then by choosing to wear these beauties, their classic shape against the print of this shirt just seemed to take a far more modern approach, which was just what i was going for. I also pulled my hair back in a tight bun to create more minimal effect and for my accessories I stuck to the classic and more streamlined shapes by choosing my Ray Bans and Prada tote bag. Finished of with a touch of pink to my lips. Mission complete!!

I hope you like the look. Thank you and Take care, Daniella xox
