Beanie & Brogues

Outfits

Posted on

I'd say it's probably a little to cold to wear this outfit now but it was just right when I wore this a few weeks back. This vest seemed to of found it way back to this pencil skirt once again (see here) Though instead of silk button up shirt, I swapped it for a cotton oxford blue one and this time I added a cosy grey knit in to the mix, perfect for creating some textured depth. And no knee-high boots, just my trusty Grenson brogues. Finished off with my beanie hat and Cooee bracelets.

I remember pretty much living in this navy blue beanie last winter and I told myself that I'd try not to rely on it quite as much this time but it looks like i'm off to a bad start on that one! See I get quite bad earache from the cold and the beanie puts a stop to that, so maybe I should just admit defeat.

Well, i'd best be off my dears. Take care,

I don't think i've shown you this faux fur gilet that I bought from Topshop a couple of months ago but here I am wearing it in an outfit I wore a few weeks back. Even though I probably have enough furry gilet's due to me buying a different one almost every year but come on, how could I possibly resist this one?! I first seen it when I was in London for fashion week and they had it in three different colours, I like it mainly for the boxy fit and I was torn between this one and the grey version but in the end I went for this colour, maybe a risky choice but what can I say, I like to live life on the edge me! :D

I teamed it with one of my favourite shirts, this blue one by Equipment, if I could afford it, i'd have one in every colour, they are literally perfect! I let it hang loose over my pencil skirt and my good old knee-high boots, complete with my clutch-of-the-moment.

Hope you all have a great week lovelies,

Farm Girl In Paris

Outfits

When I named this post, it was obviously due to the fact that this style of hat is often connected with  farmers or at least in the UK. Also i'm from Somerset a County known for it's cider and well, farmers. So I thought it was quite fitting really, even though i'm NOT farmer nor do I have any connection to farming.

Originally I was going to wear the sweater as it's supposed to be worn but I was kinda dying in the heat, so that idea had be put on hold and instead just loosely tied it around my shoulders but apart from that, I loved and enjoyed wearing this outfit.

Hope you like the look lovelies,

Like many mothers and daughters, my mum and I have always shared a common bond over our love for clothes, shoes and bags. One of the perks of having a mum who not only appreciates the importance of good quality but who also has a few more years of buying under her belt, is that from time to time she'll come across a gem that she will either lend to me or kindly gift me and one of those pieces is this beautiful blazer that i'm wearing in todays look.

It's by Emporio Armani and it's roughly about ten years old, which just go's to show if you invest well in the styles that you choose, they will stand the test of time. I styled the blazer with my favourite pair of white trousers, my checked shirt and my Birks, two pieces that I am sure you are board stiff of seeing now but all I can say is that I don't buy clothes to wear only once or twice, so you'll just have to forgive me on this one.

Well thank you for reading and I hope you like the look. Take care,

Black & Birks

Outfits

I've found that this layered cropped top that I bought a little while ago can be such a savour when the air is so sticky and irritating, very glad I bought it! I always had in mind wearing it with a black pencil skirt and my Birks to create a casual summer twist on a classic wardrobe staple and I know black combined with brown doesn't always lay easy with some but i've always found it to look quite chic.

Would you wear black and brown together?

Hope you like the look lovelies,
