what to wear when the world doesn't exist for three hours

Remember those grey days I mentioned? Yep this was one of them!

When meeting up with a friend, i'm always conflicted between wanting to dress pretty and needing to remain comfy, as I know i'm going to be sat down for while, as once we get chatting, that's it, the world doesn't exist for the next three hours. So, this time I settled with simple and relatively comfy wardrobe staples, which seemed to reflect well on the grey day that it was. But thankfully I had my yellow snake print clutch/bag from Warehouse to brighten up my day. There nothing wrong with adding a touch of colour.

Take care,

In The Distance

Two things i've worn a lot this winter is my Acne Scarf and these men-inspired trousers, so it only made sense that they came to Paris with me. Keeping to a classic feel, I wore my camel coat and a crisp striped shirt but by adding some interesting details, such as a touch of metallic with my these Cooee bracelets, a hint of print with my shoes and a splash of colour with my furry gilet gave the look a modern edge. Though you can't really see much of the gilet, I like to think of it as a hidden gem. Anyway, this outfit seemed to suit me just fine for capturing some street style on a cold and slightly damp Paris fashion week morning :)

Take care and I hope you are all enjoying your sunday,

Country Roads

Before Paris fashion week the boyfriend and I went to have a family meal in celebration for his and his fathers Birthday (they are only a day or so apart). The boyfriend thought that near the pub there might be a nice area to take some photos but it ended up just basically being country roads! So we parked up and made the most out of what we had. Weather wise, the sun was shining and at times it was even warm enough to take the faux fur off. Hopefully this means Spring may just arrive on time this year!

I hope you are all looking forward to your weekend, after the week i've had, I am certainly ready to try and have a relaxing one.

Take care,

These photos were taken on a day when we were all just staying in, watching films and eating food, to be fair they were taken ages ago now but I had other photos that I was more eager to share with you all. I still wanted to feel nice, so my silk Stella McCartney slip, my cosy cable-knit sweater and my super soft socks were the compromising pieces for our chill day. The necklace was a Christmas gift from my boyfriend, the stone is Aqua-marine but more on that another day!

I hope everyone is well. Take care,

So this past weekend felt like it lasted a week with all the things that have happened. Firstly there was the tragic helicopter accident that happened in Glasgow, where to many people lost there lives, which was truly heartbreaking. Then there was a young man in the town that I live that lost his life, though i'm not sure on the details yet but the town is small and things don't happen like this very often, so its always very hard hitting when it does. And to conclude, the world lost actor Paul Walker along with driver Roger Rodas. It's always hard when young lives are taken and so unexpectedly because it's not just one or two lives that are effected, it's everyone else that is left behind, the family and friends that are faced with the grieving, that I can only imagine to be heart wrenching and it's with them I send my prayers.

For me blogging is usually place where I escape real life problems but today I felt I needed to at least give it a mention. I love my family, they are my world and every day i'm grateful for being blessed with such a caring mother, a supportive sister, a beautiful nephew and my loving boyfriend. And it's at times like this that we should maybe show a little extra gratitude to who we have in our lives.

Thank you if you have taken the time to read this and I hope you enjoy my outfit photos,
