1 Muuse Dress, 3 Different Ways

Hi everyone,

Today is a slightly different post. Fashiolista got together with Muuse.com and asked me to style this beautiful dress in three different ways. Which I was more then happy, flattered and excited to do. The dress was defiantly up my style street, as it has a very classic style with a modern and minimal twist. I knew with a piece such as this, which is clearly very versatile would be far from a challenge to style, which gave me great peace of mind. I really did try my best to show of the versatilely in these three looks and you're probably wondering how I didn't freeze, well I did a little bit but I didn't want to take away from the dress by covering it up with a coat or jacket.

LOOK 1.

As the piece is a shirt/dress I decided to take advantage of that and wear it as a shirt. I wore it with my wide leg trousers for proportion play whilst creating interesting volume within the look. I really like how the shirt is fitted just enough to stop me from looking drowned in this outfit. I also added my See by Chloe jacket for a minimal and tailored finish, my new Topshop Beanie (the you may of already seen on my Instagram) and my Chanel round frame sunglasses for a nod to the grunge trend.

LOOK 2.

My second outfit was about showing off the layering abilities this shirt/dress has but in a far more minimal way. So I layered my very old deep brown leather skirt over the top, pulling the dress through. A trend we have seen a lot of this year. To also bring out those slight androgynous tones I wore my mens style shoes with my new burgundy ankle socks and for an extra little quirky touch I wore my good old bowler hat.

LOOK 3.

For my third and Final look I wanted to show how this dress from Muuse could be worn for an evening out, possibly for a lovely meal, a party or just some drinks in a bar. This is definitely something I would wear where for any of these occasions. I love how the cut out detailing at the back of the dress creates a beautiful focus point and an understated sexy appeal. I wore my Mary Jayne platforms to imitate those classic with a twist qualities, pulled my hair back and wore a brighter lip colour, which again you might of seen if you follow me on Instagram.

Well that's it I really hope you all like these looks and like the three different ways I have styled this amazing and very chic dress from Muuse.com A BIG thank you to Fashiolista and Muuse.com for this stunning dress. I LOVE IT!

Take care everyone,

Skirting

Hi everyone,

Here is a new outfit post. Honestly the versatility of this See by Chloe vest is crazy, I love it so much, definitely one of my smartest buys for this season, though I would like to think all my buys are relativity smart.

Anyway as a layering obsessive the whole skirt over trouser thing is definitely up my style street, I remember trying out this combo for the first time last winter after seeing the Celine Fall 2012 looks and have been obsessed with the super chic combo ever since.

With this look I chose to wear my mid length DKNY washed silk, skirt over my Joseph leather leggings, as sometimes with layering pieces such as these and especially so in a darker pallet, it can be more effective to choose different textures. Plus it helps create a certain amount of depth which can be important to remember when layering darker pieces. The skirt doesn't naturally sit this high but I belted it up that high just so it had more of an effect. I stuck with a white shirt for my top and went with an A-line shape, just for something a little different. For something more unexpected I added in a luxe tie and to also compliment the androgynous tone it set I wore this See by chloe vest.

For my shoes I got out these Jeffery Campbell beauties (that I lived in last winter) as their chunkiness gave balance to the a-line shape of the shirt. I can't help but think of school shoes when I look at these, so here's to school girl- chic, that is if there is such thing as school girl-chic?!

Anyway I've tired myself out just writing this, so thanks for hanging on in there. Hope you like this look and as always I super grateful for any comments.

LFW Day 2 Outfit

Hi lovelies,

Aw as much as I enjoyed my trip to LFW it is so nice to get back into my normal routine. I thought I'd show you my second outfit from London fashion week, I know I haven't shown you my outfit from the first day but annoyingly I didn't have the time to take any. I was so pleased with these pictures that the very lovely Rosanna from the amazing BillieRose blog took for me, she played with such cool angles, that are different to my usual way of shooting outfit pictures.

Normally with new season pieces that I buy I tend to wait a while before I wear them and for many different reasons. I buy quite early and some times its not appropriate weather to actually wear them or I like to find the perfect outfit before "showcasing" a piece and sometimes its just down to the fact I like to keep it new as long as I possibly can. But it was London fashion week and these pieces could definitely not miss out on that.

So I wore this is on the sunday and it all started with this winter white wool skirt by Acne, I love it's minimal, tailored and directional form and wanted to team it with pieces that also had similar qualities. So I styled it with just a basic white tee, my See by Chloe tailored vest to smarten up the more casual elements of this outfit and well I just loved how it looked with this skirt. For a sporty touch I of course had to wear my Wang trainers and my new River Island paisley print cap, which I felt created more of a luxe approach to the sports trend. I  accessorised with these amazing Illesteva sunglasses, a pile up of my favourite bracelets, a touch of vampy lipstick and finished of with my Prada tote.

Anyways, haha omg look at this essay! Okay hope you like this and thanks again to the brilliant Stedentrips.nl for making this possible. Thanks and lots of love,
