Skinny & Fur

Heyy,

I remember back in the early days of autumn when I started to put my summer clothes away and pull my winter pieces out and I remember contemplating in putting this printed silk top away as it is a summer piece but I couldn't bare the thought of not wearing for the next couple of months so I decided to keep it in my wardrobe with the small hope that I'd be able to figure out a way to wear and style it in the cold months ahead. It came to the end of december and I still hadn't thought of anything and I was just about to give up, when ta-da it came to me!

I layered it over a navy turtleneck, as with the material of the top being so thin that without it I think I would of froze! And at least this way it still kept it looking somewhat chic, or at least in my opinion. Some dark blue skinnies also came to play, complimented by a brown belt and to keep it tonal (and to of course also sneak my favourite colour combo in there) I wore my navy socks with my black Miu Miu's. A big furry coat, my hair in a top knot, my ray bans and Chanel bag were the quirkier finishing touches to this look. And also yay to completing my task!

Thank you for any lovely comments and take care,

Red & Cream

Heyy,

So you might of seen me wear these red soft chino trousers before unless you are of course new to visiting my blog :) They are more of a summer trouser, yes but accompanied by some cosier winter pieces like my cable-knit sweater, my furry hooded jacket and simple white turtleneck I think they work out just fine.

I can't deny that my inspiration was from Chloe's Autumn/winter12 collection but hey what can I say, sometimes I just cant help myself! I was close to going with neutral coloured shoes and bag but in the end stuck with black with my Classic Chanel and Miu Miu shoes. My approach to this look was understated, simple and chic, whilst still possessing subtlety striking qualities. I just hope I achieved that.

Well Hope you all like this look. Thank you and take care,

The Girl Beneath The Jackets

Hii everyone,

I received this awesome printed top for christmas from a friend of mine and so when I went to see her, I decided to put together an outfit that included the top, so she could see how the gift looked on me.

First of all I layered it over this rich olive coloured top as this really lifted the striking qualities of the print, I then teamed it with my petrol blue MIH jeans (though I am annoyed I didn't check my self before I left the house because OMG they are creased, situations like that are very irritating) and then finished of with my classic black ankle boots. I felt the look was needing some structure and so I added my Cos jacket, as it's a perfect piece for adding structure to almost any look, plus it kept the outfit fairly tonal. I was contemplating a black blazer but in the end stuck with this Cos one, I liked how it's a bit mismatched, like, not exactly perfect which I found was quite intriguing, some may disagree. Because It was way to cold to just to leave it like this, I threw on my very warm ( as I am sure you can tell) See By Chloe furry coat, as again I quite liked the randomness of it.

Well Love it or hate it I thank you for taking the time to look. Take care lovelies,

Sweater Love

Helloo,

So this outfit had been on my mind long before I wore it and the day I decided to finally wear it was quite a busy one, preparing for my sisters birthday amongst other things. Yes I could of put a typical run-around outfit on but the weather was nice, my boyfriend was free to take my photos (which us bloggers must always take full advantage of!) and when I have the energy, I will always do my best, to look my best.

After renewing my love for this super cosy and warm cable-knit jumper, I can't help but want to wear it all the time. So I thought it would be refreshing to approach styling it with some of my favourite classic and tailored pieces, like my sleeveless blazer that you have seen a stupid amount of times now and my Topshop black cropped trousers. I also wanted a fairly minimal and no fuss feel, so I kept my hair simple and didn't over accessorise. I echoed the streamline effect of my blazer, with my sunglasses and bag, which created minimal direction. Finishing of with my Wang sneakers for a sports-luxe twist and these red printed socks from Topshop. Which are great for adding a small point of interest.

I must add that these photos were taken back in november, hence why there is no bundle up of coats, scarfs or hats. Just incases any were wondering. Well hoping you all like the look. Thank you for any comments, I always really appreciate it. Take care,

Leather & Lime

Hii everyone,

I can't believe we are so close we are getting to December! Really looking forward to Christmas though.

I have to say after years of only really wearing ankle boots, it really dose feel so refreshing to wear a pair of knee highs. You might remember them from this post that was on my blog not so long ago.

With this outfit there were definitely aspects which were inspired by the some of the Proenza Schouler SS13 looks and why? well because ya know just INCREDIBLE that collection is. So I started of with this fuller leather skirt by Oasis which I normally belt up higher as I don't really like the length it falls at but this time it felt right to just let hang naturally as it worked better at this length with the higher boots. I also wore this Topshop green top once again, it has this great sporty appeal which works well in contrast to the more classic and tailored pieces. And as well as adding  a certain modern twist. I layered it over this navy turtleneck for extra warmth and because I loved how the peeps of navy looked against the eye catching colour and the intriguing print of the green top, really lifting the navy even if there are only glimpses of it showing.

I added in some edgier accessories and then in contrast to that and to also lift the more ladylike tones I wore my Prada tote.

Okay okay enough chitter chatter, I get it! Well I hope you like this look. Lots love to you all,
