Before Paris fashion week the boyfriend and I went to have a family meal in celebration for his and his fathers Birthday (they are only a day or so apart). The boyfriend thought that near the pub there might be a nice area to take some photos but it ended up just basically being country roads! So we parked up and made the most out of what we had. Weather wise, the sun was shining and at times it was even warm enough to take the faux fur off. Hopefully this means Spring may just arrive on time this year!
I hope you are all looking forward to your weekend, after the week i've had, I am certainly ready to try and have a relaxing one.
So, let me take you back to Friday, it was Valentines day and the boyfreind was ever so sweet, he went to my favourite crystal shop & bought me a beautiful piece of Rose Quartz which was very thoughtful, I must say! Oh and some chocolates. Then in the afternoon we attended a friends wedding, which was a beautiful thing to be part of and especially on the day of love so to speak. At this point I was little unwell with sore throat but nothing I thought to be serious.
Saturday came and yay time to pack for LFW, I was going to be taking my sister and nephew along with me so I was extra excited! Saturday night came and now I'm really not feeling good, I thought after a good nights sleep I would be fine though. Sunday morning came and after not sleeping all night due to the increasing effects of the Flu, that was that I was bedridden. I'm starting to panic, I could barley summon up the energy to go to the bathroom let alone get dressed and travel to London and do the LFW thing, I mean imagine if someone might ask to take my photo, my nose would be running uncontrollably, I'd look like I'm trying to catch flys due to not being able to breath through my nose and well, I'd probably end up fainting due to dizziness! Not ideal right?!
So, basically LFW was cancelled for me! I was gutted and especially when I found out I couldn't get my money back on the hotel, as I thought that might be one good thing, that at least I'd save some money and could buy myself something new for PFW but no :( Ah well, at least I have paris to look forward to and out of the two I know which one I would rather! Best stock up on my zinc, vitamin C and anything else I can think of, can you imagine if the same happened with Paris?! Oh God, I can't even stand the thought! So forgive me for not talking about my outfit, i'm choosing to have a moan instead today but hey, can you blame me.
Take care lovelies,
(old) Surface to Air bomber jacket - love this Here & Here
I have no idea how I actually managed to put a post together with photos of this outfit, I didn't think it was going to be achievable on the day, it was mad windy but i'm glad I persisted, as I really liked this outfit.
I've always been more inclined to go oversized then fitted and todays outfit is certainly no exception! Big coat, baggy leather trousers and a loose polka dot print dress did it for me but with keeping it mainly tonal apart from the coat helped in keeping it all relatively streamline. The bag is actually a clutch (you might of seen it before?) and it has these suede tassel things that you wrap around the clutch, so I undid them tied a knot in the top and wore it across my body. Cant say it felt completely secure but it held up and I guess thats what counts!
This See by Chloe vest is definitely a transitional fave of mine, such a classic piece and so perfect when it comes to layering, I might even try layering it under my new Ganni coat when it gets colder.
The sweater i'm wearing is a really old one, that I bought from Topshop and recently I decided that I no longer liked the shape or the way it hung, so I was thinking of throwing it out but before I did that I wanted to try chopping it up a bit first, so I cut the sleeves and just little bit of the bottom and as it turns out, I like it! Now I know its going to eventually fray quite bad and probably fall apart but even if I get just a few wears out of it first, I'll be happy.
I'm also loving my new Cooee bracelet and ring, the photos don't do the texture of the bracelet the justice it deserves but it really is a stunning and easy piece to wear, just like this neutral coloured ring. Perfect for complimenting the colour pallet of this look.
I remember back in the early days of autumn when I started to put my summer clothes away and pull my winter pieces out and I remember contemplating in putting this printed silk top away as it is a summer piece but I couldn't bare the thought of not wearing for the next couple of months so I decided to keep it in my wardrobe with the small hope that I'd be able to figure out a way to wear and style it in the cold months ahead. It came to the end of december and I still hadn't thought of anything and I was just about to give up, when ta-da it came to me!
I layered it over a navy turtleneck, as with the material of the top being so thin that without it I think I would of froze! And at least this way it still kept it looking somewhat chic, or at least in my opinion. Some dark blue skinnies also came to play, complimented by a brown belt and to keep it tonal (and to of course also sneak my favourite colour combo in there) I wore my navy socks with my black Miu Miu's. A big furry coat, my hair in a top knot, my ray bans and Chanel bag were the quirkier finishing touches to this look. And also yay to completing my task!
