The Bargain Lace Skirt & Why It's Still Paying Off

Outfits

Posted on

Gosh, it's been a while since I last worn this lace skirt! Lately, I've not been in the position to buy anything new but I guess it's made me look to other older pieces of mine, trying my best to style them in a way that feels new and exciting to me. This skirt is one of those older pieces and I bought it years ago for the friendly price of £25.00! Even now, I think it was a blooming good price and okay the quality isn't supreme, something I don't usually give way on but for twenty five pounds and to still be wearing it these years later, surly that can only be a good thing!

Teamed with cut-off denim, an embellished knit and a classic pair of low black heels, gave this lace skirt, the casual-chic transitional update I felt it needed.

Take care,

Daniella xox

Leather Legs Are The New Tights

Outfits

Though it's nothing new and I along with the other stylish folk have been substituting tights for leather leggings for a while now, I still wanted to express my feelings in todays blogpost title! I'm addicted to wearing my leather trousers instead of tights and not just the legging style, I think the baggier ones can totally look cool to. They are great way to rock the skirt/dress over trousers trend without straying to far from your comfort zone. They undoubtedly add more texture and edge to your look and lets face it they are a lot warmer.

And no, i'm not carrying a dead cat/ dog or whatever animal you see fit, this is actually a really old bag of mine I found hidden away the other day. It does have a shoulder strap but instead i'm holding it as a clutch. What can I say, other then I loveee texture!

Take care lovelies,

I have to say, i'm glad I reunited myself with these old boots of mine! They have been handy with the rough weather we've had over the last few weeks. I really love how the worn out brown leather looks against clean white denim, though the jeans are mega old and so before throwing them out, I chopped of the length a bit, just the right update they needed. Wearing my slightly tailored camel coat and a navy turtleneck gave my look the classic and smarter twist it needed to contrast the scruffy boots. Finished off with my favourite farmer green hat.

Take care and enjoy the rest of your sunday,

Just Throw It All On

Sometimes it's okay to look like you've walked into your wardrobe blindfolded! I'm kidding, of course I intentionally teamed this mish mash of a look together. Whether you like this look or not I think it's always important to remember when clashing prints and other contrasting pieces, to always ground an outfit with wardrobe staples, like a stripe top, a trench coat or converse and any other classics alike.

Take care sweeties,

PFW - The Backward Cap Cool Kid

Before the weekend starts I want to at least share one outfit with you all that I wore during my Paris fashion week trip. This shirt dress by E.Tautz, (last worn here) obviously had to make the cut, it's such a striking piece but in way that's so simple and effortless to wear. This time I wore it over these old black jeans, that have a cool zipper detail at the ankle, which looked great over my Camilla Skovgaard sandals.

Like London you'll notice that heels are pretty much absent in my get-ups, I only had two bags with me and both wouldn't fit a spare pair of shoes to quickly change into and anyway i'm into flats far more then heels right now not to mention how completely unrealistic it would be to go traipsing from show to show whilst taking Street style pictures! I feel with this look, it was my choice in accessories that really made it and I especially liked wearing my navy shoulder cape by Methodology Navy & black together is my favourite but add in some white to and that's not far from awesome either! Maybe the look would of been better with out the cap? i'm still not sure yet but what I do know is that at the time it made me feel like one of the cold kids! :D

Take care lovelies and thank you for taking the time to read this,

Daniella xox

Oh and before I go, coincidently, Fred from the very stylish Paris street style blog Easy Fashion has featured me today wearing this outfit. So maybe you could stop by and check it out. :)
