Polka & Purple

Hello,

Quite a colourful one for you today. I'm not the biggest fan of purple when it comes to clothes but this Marni coat of mine is quite the exception, I know I don't wear it a lot, mainly because it's such a strong piece but for spring and early summer it's always nice to pull out.

I had wanted to wear it with this polka dot skirt since last spring but the chance never came about, so this time I made sure that this combo happened. I layered the light coat over this heavier leather jacket from Set as we all how complimentary a strong colour can look teamed with a neutral one and plus, the biker jacket bought a subtle but effective edge to the look. I wore my Cos green knit to break up the blend of the coat, jacket and skirt and finished of with my classic navy courts and my colour-block clutch.

Well I hope you all have a colourful day. Take care lovelies,

Hints Of Spring

Hey sweeties,

So as you can see I couldn't wait to wear my Marni sandals, I just know i'm going to get a lot of wear out of these ones. Luckily Spring finally decided to show it's face not at all long after I received the shoes and even though my feet are almost the same colour as the white leather strap, I wasn't going to let that stop me from wearing them, noo sir!

Even though my love and appreciation for the classic side of style never fades it does however seem to be even more apparent in my looks come the spring or at least that's how I feel. Teaming my favourite pair of cropped trousers, these navy ones that I bought from Whistles a couple of years ago with a classic white shirt is of course a fail-safe combo and I think I can safely say i'll never tire of it. Though the only thing I would say, is that sometimes, changing a fitted white shirt for an oversized one can have a chicer feel and well is much more comfortable in my humble opinion. I also wore this navy cardigan, it's such a classic and chic piece and I may not wear it a whole lot but that's only because I know if I look after it well enough, it's a piece i'll be able to keep and incorporate into my looks for years to come, due to it's timeless style and beautiful quality. I added some simple but really quite effective touches, a brown belt, my mums printed scarf, Ray Ban Wayfares and styled my hair in a topknot. Though i'll admit patience, me and hair don't work well together, so forgive the messy up-do.

Anyhoo, I hope everyone enjoys their week. Take care,

Red Tweed

Hi my lovelies,

Up now is another traseasonal look of mine that I wore a little while back and surprise surprise I was back in my boyfriend jeans once again, see I told that I just seem to gravitate towards them come Autumn. I once again wore them with transeasonal layers, colours and print and tried to incorporate a sense of ladylike-chic which is a nice contrast against the casualness of these ripped boyfriend jeans.

Whilst searching through my Autumn/Winter clothes the other day I came across this red tweed top that I bought from Asos last autumn and not wearing it nearly enough last winter I made sure to let it appear almost straight away in one of my Autumn outfits. I teamed it with my Joseph striped top (i promis you I do wash it) as it's classic texture combined with this classic striped print worked really well and also created strong depth within the layers. I also wore my Miu Miu shoes and my Chanel bag for some ladylike twists.

I then added some colourful jewellery, like this bright pink, knitted bracelet by Marni and my Topshop neon necklace and the reason I think it worked so well, is because if you look close enough, you will see little bits of pink within the top.

Well I hope you like this look. Lots of love,
