Hello again,

 

This is an outfit I wore a few sundays ago when the boyfriend drove me, my mum and my nephew to the Haynes Museum, where you can see lots of different cars that have been built over the years. Yes this wasn't my choice of activity as you can probably guess it was my boyfriends but I thought my nephew would enjoy seeing lots of cars, as cars is like the BEST thing in the world right now in his eyes and in all fairness I do love looking at old classic cars and soaking up all the history they have, whilst imagining some of the people that might have of driven them. So all in all it was a good day. 

 

Now on to more important matters, the outfit. I wanted to be feeling fairly comfy as we would be walking around that day and possibly even running around as my 2 year old nephew was with us. So I wore some fairly casual basics such as these Boyfriend jeans, a white shirt and a simple knitted cardigan and then contrasted those casual tones with pieces that had a slightly more tailored feel such as my beloved Topshop camel coat and these River Island leopard print brogues both from last year. The shoes added a great point of interest with their splash of print and texture whilst the coat added to the length play of the look creating proportional balance.

So how is everyones week been so far? Here's another Wish I was wearing post and this week I am going crazy for these Blue & Black luxe pieces. It seems to be trend thats popping up all over the place at the moment, everyone from the likes of Stella McCartney and Marc Jacobs to online favourites Asos and on the highstreet Topshop has been producing these very chic and luxe winter pieces. And anyone who has followed my blog for a while might know that my favourite colour combo ever is navy and black, so this is definitely up my style street.

Hii,

 

So it's time for another "wish I was wearing" and I wanted to show you all a second look I would love to wear, using another piece from KARL collection available at Net a Porter.com

 

I chose this amazing Camo print maxi skirt as the main piece and the styling is based around transeasonal dressing. Teaming the skirt with a classic navy sweater and brown satchel bag is a great way to make the skirt daytime appropriate and helps gives the skirt more of a casual form.  Adding a pair of statement shoes, like these amazing ones from Kurt Geiger will contrast and throw off the casual side of the styling,  enough to stop the outfit from becoming to erm, how do I say it… droopy. If you get my drift. Plus you can not see it here but the skirt does have a slight high low effect making good shoe choice even more necessary.

Hi everyone,

 

Hope you are enjoying your weekend. This is quite a basic look that I am showing you today but at the time it was very necessary, as it seems the UK doesn't really tend receive nice summer weather it just seems to be humid a muggy. Nice! 

 

So anyway the styling was pretty basic but I tried to keep all the pieces classic and chic. I styled my Elizabeth & James navy shorts with this lovely Paul & Joe sister floral blouse. This blouse was one of those really smart buys, it works all year round and I have been able to wear it in so many different ways. I then opted for my Chloe ballet flats to stay in keeping with the classic styling of the look plus when its that muggy, I find flats are just the easier and comfier option. My jewellery was also quite minimal, both this little necklace and ring were my mums that she gave to me, they are two very special pieces. I wore my Marc by marc jacobs burgundy bag, I haven't worn this bag in a while so I thought this was the perfect outfit for bringing it out again, I felt the colour complimented the rest of the pallet really quite well.
