I've enjoyed experimenting in layering skirts for the last couple of years and it seems that after viewing all the latest collections, that this layering concept is going to be mini trend to stay. I often like to integrate as much of my summer wardrobe into my winter one as possible, mainly to get the most out of my clothes and well, this cream/white maxi skirt of mine had certainly been on my mind for while.
I found that by teaming it with the heaver materials such as this wool mini skirt (currently on sale Here) and my leather leggings it created an interesting amount of textured depth whilst also keeping the necessary amount of warmth that my body needs. And by keeping the colour pallet somewhat light and neutral helped with the fluidity of the outfit. Though, I also thinks it's fun to add contrasting touches, like what i've done with the black against the white.
Would you try layering two skirts? Take care,
A few weeks ago when the weather was still cold, I wore this outfit that i'm sharing with you today. And I know you are probably board with seeing winter outfits and just feel the need to be inspired by spring wear but i've still got a few winter looks that I want to share with you. I don't know, maybe if you are inspired by the look at all, then you could always Pin or save it for next winter ;)
It's been ages since I last worn this old grey printed tank top, I wore it non stop when I first bought it all those years ago and probably because it's very easy and comfy to wear, though I must confess I still don't know who the people are? Shameful, I know! Also, once again I can't believe how much i've worn this shaggy coat of mine! Beginning of winter and i'm never that bothered about wearing the snuggly love of mine but it always seems to be a second skin come January/February.
Well, Take care lovelies,
I always look forward to shooting some street style outside the Acne Studios show during Paris fashion week, I don't know why it's just one of my favourites. But while the show was going on and things had calmed down for the minute, the boyfriend and I decide to take some photos of my outfit but half way through shooting, the battery in my camera went dead! I was annoyed because it didn't even show it was low! So, no close up's of my outfit and no more shooting any street style! My own fault for acting like such a rookie and not having a spare battery with me. But we all live and learn I guess.
Later that afternoon I decided to still head over to outside the Vivienne Westwood show, mainly just to check out all the stylish folk attending the show but that was kinda a waist of time because it was way to crowed, though I did get to introduce myself to the lovely Marie. After that I went to have a drink with the very stylish Tina from the Where Can I Find blog and I have to say it was one of the highlights from my Paris trip. What a kind soul and a personality that is just as beautiful and infectious as her exterior! Yes it's safe to say I have a slight girl crush. And so, at least my day ended on the right note.
Thank you if you have taken the time to read this,
Another What to wear on a rainy day outfit. These boots + leather trousers are definitely up there in one of my go-to combos for bad weather days. Stripes are a certain fail-safe to and whilst the pea coat isn't super rain proof, it does just fine and looks good against stripes. To spice things up a little I added in this old tweed skirt of mine, I like how up top it blends in well with the other classic styles but below it creates a textured contrast against the edgier leather.
