I remember when I first laid eyes on this scarf, I seen a photo of Ashley Olsen (i'm pretty sure it wasn't Mary-Kate) and I fell in love with it! I had no idea where it was from or if I could even buy it and for ages I couldn't' get it out my head until one day I came to learn it was indeed made by Louis Vuitton, which i'll admit was kinda bitter-sweet! Because on the one hand at least I knew it was reachable but on the other hand the price was definitely an issue. Then one day in 2010 after months and months of banging on about the damn scarf, my mum bought it for me and saying I felt like royalty in it would not be an exaggeration!

Of course to much of anything can become a bit boring and even though I still where it, I haven't worn it as much in more recent times but now me and the scarf have a different kind of love. Like a true friend, we don't have to be together every day but when in need it's there and doesn't let me down. Okay, I don't know this turned into a sort of love letter to my scarf but it's happened, so i'm just going to roll with it.

Take care sweeties,

This See by Chloe vest is definitely a transitional fave of mine, such a classic piece and so perfect when it comes to layering, I might even try layering it under my new Ganni coat when it gets colder.

The sweater i'm wearing is a really old one, that I bought from Topshop and recently I decided that I no longer liked the shape or the way it hung, so I was thinking of throwing it out but before I did that I wanted to try chopping it up a bit first, so I cut the sleeves and just little bit of the bottom and as it turns out, I like it! Now I know its going to eventually fray quite bad and probably fall apart but even if I get just a few wears out of it first, I'll be happy.

I'm also loving my new Cooee bracelet and ring, the photos don't do the texture of the bracelet the  justice it deserves but it really is a stunning and easy piece to wear, just like this neutral coloured ring. Perfect for complimenting the colour pallet of this look.

Take care and thank you for reading lovelies,

Princess Grunge

Hi sweeties,

This is something I wore when me and the Boyfriend ventured to Exeter for the afternoon ( a small city close to where I live). I borrowed this tutu skirt from my sister, she's had it for years and only now I realise it's pretty potential.

Along with my mums old but classic navy shoes and my buttoned up cardigan, the outfit was pretty ultimate in terms of femininity, so because of my dislike for overly themed looks, I made sure to add in some contrasting pieces. I tied a checked around my waist and threw a utility jacket over my shoulders for a nonchalant effect and some urban/grungy appeal, basically my attempt to be one of the cool kids! :D

I hope you like the look! Thank you and take care,

Daniella xox

Polka & Purple

Hello,

Quite a colourful one for you today. I'm not the biggest fan of purple when it comes to clothes but this Marni coat of mine is quite the exception, I know I don't wear it a lot, mainly because it's such a strong piece but for spring and early summer it's always nice to pull out.

I had wanted to wear it with this polka dot skirt since last spring but the chance never came about, so this time I made sure that this combo happened. I layered the light coat over this heavier leather jacket from Set as we all how complimentary a strong colour can look teamed with a neutral one and plus, the biker jacket bought a subtle but effective edge to the look. I wore my Cos green knit to break up the blend of the coat, jacket and skirt and finished of with my classic navy courts and my colour-block clutch.

Well I hope you all have a colourful day. Take care lovelies,

Kimono & The Print Clash

Outfits

Hi everyone,

Hope your sunday is going well. Might pop into Startbucks with the boyfriend to have an afternoon hot chocolate and then later, series two of Homeland is starting, super excited for that! How are you spending your sunday? Anyway On to  my outfit, this was one of my last late summer looks of year, aw sad times.

This was also the second time styling my Kimono and after the last time wearing it in a more a modern and minimal form I thought this time i'd go completely OTT and create some serious print clashing. To do this I started off by choosing some printed pieces that were either classic in print or classic in shape as this created a timeless balance between the heavy print on print look I was putting together.

I had to of course choose my Marni skirt as it's bold print worked well against the smaller prints. I chose a classic white shirt for a clean base and added in this very old French Connection striped cardi, as the colours and the print carried on that classic tone. As did these vintage navy gina shoes because I think anything more then a simple pair of shoes like these would of been to much for this OTT look. The kimono was the finishing touch along with my Totem Salvaged clutch, I liked how the boho tones of both pieces complimented each other, whilst contrasting the rest.

Other accessories were kept fairly minimal, with just my Ray Bans, Mqueen ring, a little bracelet and my watch.

Anyway enjoy the rest of your weekend and I hope you like this look. Thank you for any lovely comments and take care,

Daniella xox
