PFW Day 1 - Sweater Girl

Yay, i'm excited to finally show you what I wore on my first day at Paris Fashion week! It was so much hotter then I had anticipated, which okay I guess but it was that muggy heat and I don't do to well in that.

Before I left for Paris I did treat myself to AMAZING sweater by MSGM. I've had my eye on it for ages and I have to say a big thank you Matches for getting to me so quickly, it arrived just in time! I teamed it with my newly favourite jeans, my old fave shirt and one of the comfiest pair of shoes I own, these Kurt Geiger sandals, that I practically lived in all summer. The only things I struggled with was finding a bag to work with this outfit and in the end went this super old bag from Topshop, so old that the closure button broke on that first day!

Well I hope you like this look lovelies! Thank you for reading,

Even though in England it's to be expected and really quite inevitable, it's still so very irritating when it rains mid-summer! But hey at least I was dressed appropriately, with my white cami top, skirt and sandals.

No but to be fair I did have my oversized blazer with me and even though it's not the most waterproof jacket out there, it's weight is kinda ideal for those cooler summer days. This outfit was worn back in July but I think it could easily be worn as a transeasonal look with maybe just a change of shoes?!

I hope you like the look lovelies. Thank you for reading and take care,

Hi sweeties,

This is something I wore when me and the Boyfriend ventured to Exeter for the afternoon ( a small city close to where I live). I borrowed this tutu skirt from my sister, she's had it for years and only now I realise it's pretty potential.

Along with my mums old but classic navy shoes and my buttoned up cardigan, the outfit was pretty ultimate in terms of femininity, so because of my dislike for overly themed looks, I made sure to add in some contrasting pieces. I tied a checked around my waist and threw a utility jacket over my shoulders for a nonchalant effect and some urban/grungy appeal, basically my attempt to be one of the cool kids! :D

I hope you like the look! Thank you and take care,

Hey lovelies,

So today you're actually seeing an outfit that was only taken a couple of days ago, I know crazy right?! Anyway I couldn't wait to show you all this gorgeous green vest that I received thanks to Rtister. Even though the colour is not typically a colour that is consistently seen throughout my wardrobe, I knew instantly that this piece was for me. The slight asymmetric finish, the modern and minimal lines and most importantly it's versatility were all highly convincing reasons, wouldn't you agree?!  I also feel it's going to be perfect for taking me from Spring through to Summer and even Autumn because of the beautiful lightweight fabric it's made from.

Though the idea of wearing this vest with a classic white shirt and culottes was consuming me, I had to come to except that it's simply not warm enough yet but that only gave me the incentive to wear to finally wear this Jaeger dress once again but decided to style it in a slightly less conventional way. I layered it over a checked shirt and even though the print of the dress is only just visible, I felt that this detail only created more impact with the two contrasting prints. I know there was already a lot going on up top but that wasn't going to stop me from wearing my classic J Brand flared jeans, volume plus volume kinda rocks in my books and anyway, add in a belt to define your waistline and you're fine!

Well if you wanna check out Rtister (where this vest comes from) then click Here. Rtister has some wonderful contemporary brands and I particularly liked their accessories section.

Thank you a take care,

Hello my dears,

Even though in theory styling a pair of jogger trousers with metallic brogues, a checked shirt and a brightly coloured pair of printed socks sounds like a recipe for disaster, but in reality I was feeling pretty darn happy with how that combo actually turned out.

I don't know what it is about me, these trousers and brogues, I just always feel attracted to styling the two contrasting styles together and I think these metallic ones in particular are great for keeping it somewhat tonal, whilst still making a strong impact. In my teenage preppier days, I would often wear fitted shirts with jogger bottoms, so I thought it would be cool to take that little style memory and apply it to this look, though this time I chose this square shaped, checked shirt and wore it with my navy cardigan, which also has quite a square shape, as this I felt added to the smart/casual theme of the outfit and the loose fitting shapes felt quite unexpectedly, chic.

Instead of wearing a coat, I just kept to wooly gloves, a beanie and a scarf, it was enough to keep me warm for the short time I was out, so hey, why not?!

Hope you like the look sweeties,
