Long Coat & Loafers

Outfits

How was everyones weekend? Mine was really quite lovely, the Boyfirend kindly took me to see The Wolf Of Wall street, we've been so excited to see it and I don't want to raise anyones expectations but in my books it was nothing short of AMAZING! And we all know that three hours of Leonardo DiCaprio is always good for the body and mind!!!

When we were taking these photos, I'll admit I was having a little bit of an identity crises to whether I wanted my hair up or down, my sunglasses on or off! But at least I was certain that I was extremely happy this outfit!

I was wearing three of my favourite buys from this winter, my coat by Ganni, it feels and possibly looks like i'm wearing a super cosy dressing gown but in the chicest way possible. My navy scarf by Acne, which i've quite literally lived in and my loafers by Isabel Marant! And in between these items, I wore a cosy knit and shirt combo with some dark blue denim.

Have a great week lovelies,

Cable-Knit

I'm a sucker for wardrobe classics and this beige cable-knit sweater I came across was a perfect and much needed addition my wardrobe. I wore it my favourite striped shirt and my old navy boucle shorts, that also have an oversized fit, though that was an accident back from my early days of ordering online from America. I chose my Zara brogues, as they highlighted and added to the androgynous tones, whilst the olive coloured scarf complimented the autumnal feel that was in the air.

Well, i'm off. Take care and enjoy the rest of your sunday,

Showing my mum these pictures, it reminded her of old Americana, like I should be in an old western saloon or something and this was not meant as insult nor did I take it as one, as comparisons like that only bring a giggle but I also think its very interesting how one person can see and feel something very different from an outfit to the next person. Even though when putting this outfit together I didn't set out to do my own interpretation of someone or something (though i'll admit I was inspired by a certain Vogue editorial at the time) but even I look at these shots and think yep, i'm looking a lil Artful Dodger-esque and once again, I don't see that as a negative.

Before I go, I must say that i'm really happy with these photos, my sister took them for me, which is a rare thing but I won't complain because she's now agreed to start taking more for me! YAY! I just fall in love with her way of angling the camera.

Thanks for reading lovelies,

LFW Day 2 Outfit Two

So on my second day in London during fashion week, I had to go back to the hotel and change as it was just to chilly and with the rain coming in for the afternoon, a skirt and silk shirt just wasn't going to cut it.

I swapped a leather skirt for my leather trousers, added my mens top and my Pea coat and changed my Wang sneakers for my trusty slip on ones. Well, I know it's nothing to special but it suited my needs for taking some LFW street style snaps and I know the photos aren't great but it came over so grey and I was kinda rushing to get them done.

Take care lovelies,

Sequins & Birks

Outfits

Hello lovelies,

These sequin trousers may not appear regularly on the blog, as they aren't exactly the easiest piece to style an outfit around but now and again it's fun to challenge myself and try my best at styling them into a day appropriate look.

Styling them with my go-to shirt of the moment, this oldy but a goodie oversized striped one by Elizabeth & James and an oversized navy sweater gave off a carefree notion, that in turn helped in toning down the disco vibe of the trousers. And nothing else will casualize (again, pretty sure that's not a word but in my opinion it should be!) a look better then the Birks, plus I love the ugly effect it has on these oh so glamorous trousers.

Well I hope you like the look and please excuse my hair, for some reason i'm just not digging it but ya know, no surprise there! Thanking you and take care,
