Happy New Year lovelies! Hope you all celebrated well. I spent New Years with my family, as per usual but to which i'm always grateful for. We went for a News Years Eve meal during the day, followed by an evening with our close friends, where we drank, laughed and attempted to play some late night, alcohol influenced poker.
When I named this post, it was obviously due to the fact that this style of hat is often connected with farmers or at least in the UK. Also i'm from Somerset a County known for it's cider and well, farmers. So I thought it was quite fitting really, even though i'm NOT farmer nor do I have any connection to farming.
Originally I was going to wear the sweater as it's supposed to be worn but I was kinda dying in the heat, so that idea had be put on hold and instead just loosely tied it around my shoulders but apart from that, I loved and enjoyed wearing this outfit.
Hope you like the look lovelies,

Finally I can share a London Fashion related blog post! Trust me if I had a laptop, I would of been posting during my down time but annoyingly I just don't own one.
Anyway, this was what I wore on the second day I was there, if you are wondering why i'm not sharing my first look with you all, it's because I didn't get time to take a photo. I'll say now, that my LFW looks weren't exactly very "fashion Week" but they are a true reflection of my current sartorial mood and I didn't want to compromise that. I also had to keep the rainy weather in mind. The leather skirt i'm wearing is actually my mums, it's quite old now but I think its a classic.
Well I hope you like the look and thank you for reading,
p.s I've just realised that coincidentally, i'm once again wearing a leather skirt! Three outfit posts in a row now, guess I gotta problem!
So I called this "A Little Bit Of Everything" as this look was all about attempting to bring together pieces from different style categories to form an outfit that played on contrasting styles and also mixing textures. I found that keeping to a mainly darker pallet throughout, benefited the outcome of the outfit, helping the opposites to blend with subtlety and ease. There are times where I like to clash pieces with a bolder approach but sometimes it's nice for the mismatching to be a little more understated.
The bag you can see is one of my mums, she had found her little collection of evening bags that she'd collected over the years and of course I couldn't resist thieving this lil beauty, it was from Accessorize and I just think its so pretty and really quite ideal for the theme of this look.
Well hope you like the look,
