Pink & Print

Hello lovelies,

Here is something I wore on a grey and chilly sunday a few weeks ago. I know crazy that i'm posting a look in May where I am actually still wearing a coat, though the pictures were taken back in April and i'm only draping the coat over my shoulders. I love these checked trousers of mine so much, I still can't get over that they were only £40 from Asos.

I realised I hadn't yet done a look with these trousers, where the styling was simple and somewhat classic. A white shirt and a brown belt were of course a given in this circumstance, a combination i'll never get tired of. I wore this old swing coat of mine because like I said it was chilly and I liked how the tweed subtly clashed with the check print of the trousers. To add some colour and to, well, brighten up my grey day I wore my pink Miu Miu shoes, Ah how I love them so!

Well Y'all I best be off. Hope you like the look and take care,

Polka & Purple

Hello,

Quite a colourful one for you today. I'm not the biggest fan of purple when it comes to clothes but this Marni coat of mine is quite the exception, I know I don't wear it a lot, mainly because it's such a strong piece but for spring and early summer it's always nice to pull out.

I had wanted to wear it with this polka dot skirt since last spring but the chance never came about, so this time I made sure that this combo happened. I layered the light coat over this heavier leather jacket from Set as we all how complimentary a strong colour can look teamed with a neutral one and plus, the biker jacket bought a subtle but effective edge to the look. I wore my Cos green knit to break up the blend of the coat, jacket and skirt and finished of with my classic navy courts and my colour-block clutch.

Well I hope you all have a colourful day. Take care lovelies,

Furry Cuffs

Hello lovelies,

Don't you just love it when you feel really really good in an outfit?! That's how I felt wearing this, mainly because I was comfy whilst still feeling somewhat elegant. But wouldn't you agree that theres something so awesome when you're able to feel comfortable whilst still wearing heels and granted these aren't exactly the highest or craziest looking pair of heels but you get my point. I think we can also all agree that boyfriend jeans are a girls best friend and are undoubtedly perfect for transeasonal wear, can't believe i'm still using that word when we're about to enter May but I feel it's allowed considering we did have a belated spring and plus the looks in my outfit posts normally tend to be from at least a couple of weeks back.

Talking of transeasonal pieces, this coat is also perfect for this in-between weather, as its quite a lightweight piece and I think the last time I wore it in a look was during PFW and that was quite a heavily printed and layered look, so it was nice to wear it with an outfit that consisted of just a pair of jeans, a white tee, a little cardi and my classic black Miu Miu's. A piece that should appear to feel completely out of place amongst a look such as this actually felt pretty dam cool and well if wearing a coat with giant furry cuffs in the middle of the day just to have some coffee and cake with my mum, sis and lil nephew makes me all happy inside, then that's enough for me.

Hope you like the look and thank you for taking the time to look at my not so little post. Take care,

Tights In Spring?!

Hello,

So i'm sure you are all fed up with seeing me in what seems like winter only outfits and even though the sun has been sticking around a little bit more lately it has still been pretty cold or at least when I took these photos it was. I don't know if any of you's do the same but when it's spring and the days are still so annoyingly cold and windy, every now and then I will just pretend it's the spring weather we all know and love, the kind of weather where you can wear a skirt with bare legs or some open-toe sandals and hey, maybe even a light jacket! But when I have those days, I quickly come to regret my optimistic approach and before I know it i'm back to wearing heavy coats, tights and sweaters.

Classic combinations seem to be my saviour right now and even though this look isn't screaming spring, I have tried to incorporate the season I am obsessing over right now in other ways such as wearing a lighter scarf rather then heavier one and a chambray shirt (thanks to the boyfriends wardrobe) as little things like that do make the difference, for me anyway. I came across this extremely old denim skirt of mine a little ago, from when I went through my "denim skirt only" phase when I was about 15/16 and thought i'd give it a spin once again, I felt it worked especially for giving the outfit a casual tone, what do you think? To put the finishing touches on this outfit I kept it classic with this oldy but a goodie tweed swing coat that I got from Jack Wills years ago and of course stuck with my trusty Grensons.

Hope you like the look and if you have managed to stick with me through my ramblings then BRAVO to you! Take care lovelies,

Daniella xox
