All Those Layers

Outfits

Posted on

Okay so if you've seen much of my style it would certainly appear that I like to layer, I can't say that I always set out to layer a look but a lot of the time it ends up happening. Don't get me wrong though I am not saying that I just roll out of bed and Ta-da it happens because of course there is a certain amount of trial and era when it comes to layering. But the reason I am talking about layering today is because when I wore this outfit my mum and sister made the comment, "got enough layers" I was little confused as I didn't consider there to be to many. In my mind me wearing a shirt, cardigan, jacket and scarf, was a combination I would think to be quite common in these colder months, I guess the difference being was the way I was wearing the layers, they are not all hiding under my buttoned up coat and don't get me wrong I am not saying I took the layered comment negatively as I love how this layered outfit looks but I just think it's just funny how changing the way you wear a general winter combination by simply leaving some buttons undone, throwing your jacket over your shoulders in an oh so nonchalant like manner instead of wearing it the way one is supposed to and simply by wearing your bag across the body can make all the difference, not only for style reasons but also in how others will perceive the look.

Anyway on to the outfit. I borrowed my sisters checked shirt and teamed it with my J Brands for classic and casual combo. I found my chunky cable-knit mens cardigan and wore that for cosiness and warmth, which I then finished of with my light parka and my red Topshop scarf that I can't stop wearing at the moment. To throw the casual side a bit of balance I wore my pointy KG kurt geiger Boots to give the outfit a smart twist whilst still  keeping with those classic tones.

Well hope you enjoy this post my lovelies. Thanks and take care,

Global-Traveler Tones

Outfits

Hi everyone,

So this was the second time styling my beautiful Isabel Marant trousers and this time I decided to team them with my Vionnet scarf print, silk front tee. I liked how it created a slightly global-traveller feel. I didn't want to go overboard with the global-traveller aspects of the look, so i tried to keep everything else slightly more toned down - creating minimal undertones. I chose my Army jacket by CLOSED as this complimented the colour pallet of the outfit and also giving more depth to the look as the texture of the jacket is of a heavier material.

My shoes I kept minimal with these DIY shoes (which are actually about 7/8 years old and were from New Look) I think anything heavier then these shoes would of just been to heavy against the overall lightness of the look. I added in some bulky bracelets as I didn't want it to become to toned down and these were just enough.

Hope you like this look. Thank you and Take care, Daniella xox

Hilo

Outfits

Hi everyone,

Here i am wearing my beautiful Paul & Joe dress once again. Honestly I am finding it so versatile considering it actually verges on being a maxi dress. The last time i wore it I tied it up in a knot and wore it as a top (you can see it here) and once again I decided to still carry on wearing it as a top but this time giving it a Hilo effect. The reason I haven't worn it in it's proper form yet is simply because of the crapy weather, it's made of very light material and it needs to be at least warm to make an attempt at wearing it.

So as it was Sunday I wanted to try and give the look a slight casual twist so I wore my skinny jeans and then my Pedro Garcia wedges to give me some hight. I wore my Ally Capellino canvas bag as it looked pretty with the top the i last time i wore it and because it's a great casual bag.

I really hope you all like this look. Thank you and Take care,
