what to wear when the world doesn't exist for three hours

Remember those grey days I mentioned? Yep this was one of them!

When meeting up with a friend, i'm always conflicted between wanting to dress pretty and needing to remain comfy, as I know i'm going to be sat down for while, as once we get chatting, that's it, the world doesn't exist for the next three hours. So, this time I settled with simple and relatively comfy wardrobe staples, which seemed to reflect well on the grey day that it was. But thankfully I had my yellow snake print clutch/bag from Warehouse to brighten up my day. There is nothing wrong with adding a touch of colour.

Take care,

Golden In Paris

Outfits

Obviously I have to start with this metallic jacket. I bought it roughly about 7-8 years ago, not to sure. Anyway, I remember feeling very bold buying this piece as is was quite out there for me at the time, or so it seemed being a metallic gold semi bomber like jacket. My mum always the encourager of me buying things a little different told me that I should go for it and so I did.

A week or so later we found ourselves back in Topshop doing our weekly rounds of checking all the new in's and I remember overhearing these ladies laughing at the metallic jacket that was hanging there so innocently ;) making a comment like "who would wear that"! And I felt that all that seemed to imply, was that they couldn't see past the fact it was gold and hearing and witnessing that limited outlook only seemed to make me feel better in my decision of buying this AWESOME jacket! Haha, all these years later and I finally got the chance to get that off my chest!

Well, time sure does fly and i'm once again wearing it in Paris for fashion week, along with another fun piece that I haven't worn in while, my fringed vest. I'm definitely feeling like anything suede or fringed is going to be the underdog this Spring/Summer but whether i'm right in that statement or not, i'm sure as hell going to be investing in more of it!

Take care lovelies,

Kilt Time

Outfits

Back before Christmas, the boyfriend and I drove up to Bath for the day. It had been a couple of years since I last visited the beautiful city and so I was excited to get back there again. For shopping, Bath has a great mix of trendy high street shops and unique boutiques, perfect combination if you ask me. The architecture of the buildings is mesmerising and not to mention the history there is to see at every turn. I said to the boyfriend that next time we visit Bath, i'd love to spend the day discovering and soaking up all the history.

There was another reason I was excited that day and that was because I got to wear this amazing kilt, that I bought it from MHL. Margaret Howell! I'd been eyeing it up for a while, like I usually do but this time I didn't take to long to think about it, as I was worried it would sell out and there was no way I could let this one slip through my fingers, since I had been looking for the perfect kilt ever since last winter.

Well thank you for reading my lovelies,

A Little Bit Manly

Like a few of us girls do, I often look in the mens department for clothes (mainly classic items) but oddly nothing i'm wearing here in this more androgynous look of mine is mens! Nope its all ladies items.

I also wanted to talk about this shirt that i'm wearing and yes I know you can't see it all that well but i'm excited about sharing it with you anyway. I bought it from MHL. by Margaret Howell a few weeks ago and I know it may not look like anything special but it's the way it feels on, so crisp and well made and also, it's a great classic piece to have in ones wardrobe. Though buying it didn't come easy, I had to ring around a bit but thanks to a helpful shop assistant, I managed to get the last one in store! Yay!

Take care sweeties,

P.s I know a few of you may of already seen this post on Tuesday, but I had only just posted a look with this coat a day or so before. So I changed my mind and swapped it for another post. But for those who didn't get to see it, here it is!

Padding

Earlier in the year when I was featured on a blog wearing these trousers, I remember reading a comment that suggested that maybe these trousers would look nice teamed with some brogues. I really liked the idea and so I remembered this until the weather and time was right to finally make an outfit based around this idea.

We were off to see the towns Christmas lights get switched on when I wore this, so staying warm was fairly imperative and so I chose this padded sweater by Acne that I bought last winter and is probably the warmest sweater I own. I didn't really want to wear it with a coat because as you can see it's pretty bulky, so I decided that choosing a light and streamline style was the only way to go and I think I just about got away with it.

Well, thats all loveless. Take care,
