A Little Bit Of Everything

Hey,

So I called this "A Little Bit Of Everything" as this look was all about attempting to bring together pieces from different style categories to form an outfit that played on contrasting styles and also mixing textures. I found that keeping to a mainly darker pallet throughout, benefited the outcome of the outfit, helping the opposites to blend with subtlety and ease. There are times where I like to clash pieces with a bolder approach but sometimes it's nice for the mismatching to be a little more understated.

The bag you can see is one of my mums, she had found her little collection of evening bags that she'd collected over the years and of course I couldn't resist thieving this lil beauty, it was from Accessorize and I just  think its so pretty and really quite ideal for the theme of this look.

Well hope you like the look,

Daniella xox

Hello my dears,

Even though in theory styling a pair of jogger trousers with metallic brogues, a checked shirt and a brightly coloured pair of printed socks sounds like a recipe for disaster, but in reality I was feeling pretty darn happy with how that combo actually turned out.

I don't know what it is about me, these trousers and brogues, I just always feel attracted to styling the two contrasting styles together and I think these metallic ones in particular are great for keeping it somewhat tonal, whilst still making a strong impact. In my teenage preppier days, I would often wear fitted shirts with jogger bottoms, so I thought it would be cool to take that little style memory and apply it to this look, though this time I chose this square shaped, checked shirt and wore it with my navy cardigan, which also has quite a square shape, as this I felt added to the smart/casual theme of the outfit and the loose fitting shapes felt quite unexpectedly, chic.

Instead of wearing a coat, I just kept to wooly gloves, a beanie and a scarf, it was enough to keep me warm for the short time I was out, so hey, why not?!

Hope you like the look sweeties,

Daniella xox

Joggers & Platform Brogues

Hey lovelies,

This was one of those looks that I really enjoyed wearing, due to the fact I was pretty much wearing all new pieces, that I had bought for this season, which is always a nice feeling. I also loved wearing this outfit as each piece was just so dam comfy!

I have wanted a luxe pair of Jogger trousers for what seems like years now and you know what it's like when you are after a certain piece, nothing ever seems to compare to that perfect one you've conjured up in your head, right?! So in the end I went with these By Zoe ones, which for me are pretty close to what I was after and hey, who knows what the sales will soon bring. From the minute I got these, I knew I wanted to style them with an an oversized sweater and this oxblood one from Topshop was an ideal choice in my opinion. By the time I took these photos it was cold enough for me to finally wear my Surface to Air varsity jacket, a piece that I LOVE so much! I love how the fleece detailing on the front separates it from most varsity jackets I tend to see, making it feel a little more unique. When it came to choosing shoes it wasn't easy an easy task, as you can imagine! But in the end I went with my Grenson brogues because I knew it had to be something that contrasted the sportier tones and well I think a pair of platform brogues hit that nail on the head straight away.

Well what do you think of this look? Thank you for any comments and take care,

Hii lovelies,

Hope everyone had a great weekend. To start of the week I thought I'd show you all some of latest buys. I've become really bad with showing you all my new in's but at least here's a few for now.

First you're seeing this olive leather skirt by Reiss. I was a little bit impulsive when it came to buying this skirt which is unusual for me as I normally I think about a piece I want to buy for at least a couple of weeks but with this one only a couple of days, though I must admit that it was probably due to the fact that they only had a couple left in stock and that is what pushed me to click Buy now but I am far from disappointed, can not wait to style and wear this skirt.

After that you are seeing these By Zoe joggers and this great burgundy/oxblood sweater from Topshop, I think both these pieces are going to prove themselves versatile. And well I have loved them both for ages, so it was about time I bought them.

Last but not least are these flatform brogues by Grenson. I have been in love with flatform brogues ever since Prada did them, you know the ones! But I wasn't able to buy any at the time and I was also of the thinking that they were quite trend aware and probably would't hang around, or at least that's what I was telling myself to cover the pain of not owning a pair. Then I came across these about a month ago and instantly fell in love with them and so, it had to be done. I have also wanted a pair of Grenson's for a long time and have bought both my sister and boyfriend a pair for birthdays and christmas and was a bit cheesed of that I didn't own a pair myself, the boyfriend thinks I should of bought a more classic style but I've always been a bit of a sucker for a quirkier style of shoe, probably because a lot of my clothes take a more classic form.

Anyways let me know what you think of my newest pieces. Thank you and Take care,

Daniella xox
