Safe From The Rain

Outfits

Back on a very rainy day in October, refusing to stay in I decided that me and the boyfriend must go out and get ourselves all cosy in Starbucks and sip away on their latest seasonal hot chocolate, I know we are so original like that. Of course I ended up thinking that my outfit was photo worthy enough to take some photos, the boyfriend thought I was mad because it was raining like crazy and well, these are the sort of days when he ends up becoming grumpy with me and my outfit photo obsession! But I kindly chose a spot where we could both be dry and still get a decent result, see how nice I am…

For me, i've never really had an issue with wearings skirt when it's the raining, especially when i've got my umbrella on me and yes of course there are those days when i'm not so optimistic but I was feeling brave and rather happy that day, so nothing was stopping me. And in my defence at least I chose practical footwear!

Anyway, take care my dears and enjoy the rest of your day,

Adding Colour To Casual

I've kinda been living in these Alexander Wang shorts this summer, they are really quite old now but are still none the less perfect for when the weather is the hot and muggy! Wearing them with a classic white shirt and the Birks was simply to easy and appealing to resist, so even though my sartorial creativity was lacking I made up for it by choosing two very colourful neck pieces.

I added in this turquoise beauty, that is actually indeed a belt but wearing it as a choker style necklace seemed to be far chicer in my opinion. The second necklace I wore was this amazing necklace that a friend kindly bought me for my birthday, I love how it instantly gives this fairly basic look a very striking lift.

Well lovelies, I hope you like the outfit. Take care,

Collars, Converse & Colour

In the midst of the wonderful summer heat we had, the boyfriend and I were kindly invited round to share a barbecue with one of his oldest friends and his wife. I don't know why but it made me feel all grown up, it's not the sort of thing the boyfriend and I usually do, in-fact we've never done that with friends before, so yeah go us! Anyway, it was perfect way to spend a summers evening.

Wanting/needing to feel comfy and also somewhat free, I wore this creamy maxi skirt of mine, which I bought a few years ago and i'll admit I haven't worn it in a while, so it was nice to give it a new lease of life. I chose a classic shirt to slightly contrast the boho tones of the skirt but then made sure I kept things casual with my converse and because touches of colour will always give a neutral look an interesting lift, my good old yellow necklace, Ally Capellino bag and my new Oakley's were definitely needed.

Thank you for reading my lovelies. Take care,

So Sunday is here once again and I thought i'd show you this outfit that I wore on a lazy sunny sunday, whilst enjoying a family barbecue. Not much of an explanation needed, as I just kept it simple with some wardrobe classics.

I hope you like this look and I hope you have a wonderful Sunday! Take care lovelies,

Coconut Shells & A Geometric Print

Outfits

Hello,

How was your weekend?

Back when I bought this skirt in the Autumn of last year I remember thinking, that I would love to style it with a crisp white shirt and some summer sandals and now here I am, finally wearing just that! I added in a long sleeved top as it wasn't warm enough at the time to wear the shirt on it's own and it was a nice change to a jacket, of course I purposely picked this olive green colour to give the white shirt a lift and to compliment the luxe colours and print of my skirt.

And if you're are wondering where the coconut shells are, well, they are hanging around my neck! This necklace was originally bought by my mum when she was on her honeymoon in Antigua many years ago and she was going to throw it out, I know the woman is crazy with what she throws out, I'm always  like "whoa whoa whoa now, just hang on a tiny little minute" demanding that I rescue the helpless little accessory!

I thought it had been a while since I last sported this burgundy Marc by Marc Jacobs bag of mine, at first I wasn't sure if it worked but in the end I just went with it and I love how it turned out. And no the hairband is not something I'm attempting to make cool, the little sucker somehow found his way into the photos and with the boyfriend probably forever thinking that i've probably put it there on purpose because that's "The Look" I really had no hope!

Well lovelies, I know it's a long one today but for those who have, thanks for reading! Take care,
