I love wearing these navy trousers by Acne with my platform brogues, something about the way they have this baggy hang over the shoes. I also love wearing this very cosy waffle-knit rugby shirt that I bought from the M&S mens department a little while ago, perfect for pairing with smarter trousers like these or just your favourite denim on a cosy sunday.
Here is what I wore on my third day during Paris fashion week and I have to say when I first bought this feathered skirt five years or so ago I didn't anticipate that I'd still be making use out of it all this time later, I kinda thought it would just be a trend of the moment but here I am in 2013 still putting it to good use!
I think it's fair to say that i've been a fan of teaming skirts over trousers for a while now and even though i'm not overly led by trends, I couldn't help but think that it is an extra bonus that Dries Van Noten carried this style on through to this season. To keep things casual/day appropriate, I went with a simple buttoned up cardigan and because my feet needed comfort, these Grenson platform brogues were the perfect option.
This is something I wore back before our summer officially started, when the weather was still a little off and still fairly chilly. But to turn that negative into a positive, I took the opportunity to wear these Acne trousers and this striped sweater by Theory, two pieces that I bought back in the Spring. Easy styling has sort of been a must recently and not just because of the hot weather but also due to not having that much energy at the moment, so comfy and fairly basic pieces are a must. To give this outfit a little oomph, I wore my metallic Miu Miu's. So, that was that, I was ready for my afternoon lunch with the boyfriend.
I just wanted to share this simple summer look with you today. I bought these linen trousers from Acne last year and with their relaxed tailored fit, they are so perfect for those warm summer days, when you just want to feel comfy but still look somewhat stylish. I wore them with my favourite simple white tee and my Kaylee Cho blazer, as I loved how the subtle print looked against the neutral colour of the trousers. These Marni sandals are proving to be a great buy for me, the heel hight is perfect and the monochrome straps help with easy pairing when it comes to different outfits.
Well that's all folks. Thank you for reading and take care,
Today I wanted to share this leather jacket of mine with you all, it's one of my favourite pieces from my wardrobe that i've had for years now. I bought it from Karren Millen about 5 years ago, it was one of the first pieces that I spent a fair bit of money on, or at least what I considered to be a lot. I remember being so excited because I had been looking and waiting to buy it for ages but I was also nervous because it seemed like a lot of money to spend on one item at the time and I was worried it would be something I would come to regret but now 5 years or so later, I couldn't imagine my wardrobe without it!
I think I wore it for about two-three years straight after I welcomed it with love and pride into my life and after taking a little break from it, I can now say that it's definitely back at the centre of my stylish, little universe. What I love most about this leather jacket, is that it gets even better with age and wear, so to say this jacket was a good investment would be a huge understatement.
Well, that's my little love story for the day! Are there any pieces in your wardrobe that you couldn't imagine your life without? Tell me what your favourites are :)
Iv'e also put together a little collection of my favourite leather jackets that are out there to buy right now, I hope you like. Take care and enjoy your weekend,
