Favourites & Classic's

Outfits

Good afternoon,

I guess when styling this look I wanted to be able to combine edginess and androgyny with clear classic elements. So I started of with my Joseph leather leggings and styled them with my Cos A-line shirt, I can't believe how much I have worn this shirt, I guess I just really love it's shape and the way it hangs. So these two pieces styled together was a great base for creating that classic and edgy balance and to highlight those edgy tones I wore these chunky Jeffery Campbell shoes, I especially like how they look with a cropped pair of trousers.

To set an androgynous tone I wore this vintage navy blue skinny tie and added in my Topshop necklace over the top for extra point of detail. I was originally going to go with with my leather biker jacket but then I tried on this coat, it's years old and it's from Aubin & wills. Over the years it's slowly became a more casual coat of mine which I tend to wear with skinny jeans, a sweater and some biker boots, so it was really nice and refreshing to be able to give it a little renewal by wearing it in what I consider to be an edgier and more minimal way but whilst still incorporating those classic tones which the coat clearly has.

Hair was just kept minimal and accessories also but still with a classic feel.

Well enough of the jibber jabber I'm of now. Thank you and Take care,

All Those Layers

Outfits

Posted on

Okay so if you've seen much of my style it would certainly appear that I like to layer, I can't say that I always set out to layer a look but a lot of the time it ends up happening. Don't get me wrong though I am not saying that I just roll out of bed and Ta-da it happens because of course there is a certain amount of trial and era when it comes to layering. But the reason I am talking about layering today is because when I wore this outfit my mum and sister made the comment, "got enough layers" I was little confused as I didn't consider there to be to many. In my mind me wearing a shirt, cardigan, jacket and scarf, was a combination I would think to be quite common in these colder months, I guess the difference being was the way I was wearing the layers, they are not all hiding under my buttoned up coat and don't get me wrong I am not saying I took the layered comment negatively as I love how this layered outfit looks but I just think it's just funny how changing the way you wear a general winter combination by simply leaving some buttons undone, throwing your jacket over your shoulders in an oh so nonchalant like manner instead of wearing it the way one is supposed to and simply by wearing your bag across the body can make all the difference, not only for style reasons but also in how others will perceive the look.

Anyway on to the outfit. I borrowed my sisters checked shirt and teamed it with my J Brands for classic and casual combo. I found my chunky cable-knit mens cardigan and wore that for cosiness and warmth, which I then finished of with my light parka and my red Topshop scarf that I can't stop wearing at the moment. To throw the casual side a bit of balance I wore my pointy KG kurt geiger Boots to give the outfit a smart twist whilst still  keeping with those classic tones.

Well hope you enjoy this post my lovelies. Thanks and take care,

Meow,

My love for navy and black has never been a secret here on my blog, so I guess this outfit I wore a few weeks ago isn't going to come as huge surprise.

I am also loving oversized and slouchy sweaters, so I decided to team this Topshop boutique favourite of mine from last year with another favourite, this Oasis leather skirt. Perfect i'd say for combining two style loves of mine. There is something about this skirt that makes me love it for transeasonal wear, it's fine for the winter to but I just prefer a leather skirt to be worn without tights. You are also getting to see for the first time (I think) these amazing Kg Kurt geiger boots. I bought them over a month ago now and I love them so much and just couldn't wait to wear them. Their timeless colour and style makes them difficult not to wear them with everything, which you will come to see and understand in my upcoming outfit posts. I finished of the look with my old but trusty grey coat by Cheap Monday, that I had for Christmas about 3 or 4 years ago and of course added in my chain bracelet, boyfriends watch and Ray bans.

Well I hope you all dig this look!! Thankssss and take care,

p.s

I hope the photo quality isn't to bad but I am having a lot of problems when I am saving them for the web in photoshop. They are loosing a lot of the colour saturation which is very annoying and it seems to be mainly on darker outfits i've shot. So if any one knows anything about how to solve this problem of mine, i'm all ears.

Yes Please Monday

Hi and Happy monday everyone,

Today I wanted to show you a couple of pieces I am currently coveting at the moment. This awesome Acne sweater, that by now is probably sold out because like most things that I ever seem to want/need sells out. Haha okay pity party over, I just really love it. I think even though it's quite an in your face piece, there would be many ways to wear this casual-cool sweater, dressed up or down.

The other piece I am in love with, is this cool Homiés tee by Brian Lichtenberg, i've had my eye on a few of his things for a while now. I just love how simple the design is.

Well I hope you like and remember donations for the "buy Daniella even more clothes" charity are always accepted here.

I'm just playing with y'all. Take care and have a great day,
