Here Is this weeks Wish I Was Wearing. After expressing my love for these Chloe boots in monday's post I thought I would show you just one of thousand ways I would Love to style them. Autumn cosiness meets classic and chic, or least thats how I view this look. Is this something you would wear?
Well I hope you do like this look. Thank you for any comments and take care,
Here is a new outfit post. Honestly the versatility of this See by Chloe vest is crazy, I love it so much, definitely one of my smartest buys for this season, though I would like to think all my buys are relativity smart.
Anyway as a layering obsessive the whole skirt over trouser thing is definitely up my style street, I remember trying out this combo for the first time last winter after seeing the Celine Fall 2012 looks and have been obsessed with the super chic combo ever since.
With this look I chose to wear my mid length DKNY washed silk, skirt over my Joseph leather leggings, as sometimes with layering pieces such as these and especially so in a darker pallet, it can be more effective to choose different textures. Plus it helps create a certain amount of depth which can be important to remember when layering darker pieces. The skirt doesn't naturally sit this high but I belted it up that high just so it had more of an effect. I stuck with a white shirt for my top and went with an A-line shape, just for something a little different. For something more unexpected I added in a luxe tie and to also compliment the androgynous tone it set I wore this See by chloe vest.
For my shoes I got out these Jeffery Campbell beauties (that I lived in last winter) as their chunkiness gave balance to the a-line shape of the shirt. I can't help but think of school shoes when I look at these, so here's to school girl- chic, that is if there is such thing as school girl-chic?!
Anyway I've tired myself out just writing this, so thanks for hanging on in there. Hope you like this look and as always I super grateful for any comments.
p.s All my love and prayers go to those effected by the superstorm Sandy.
I just wanted to share with you these very beautiful and very chic Chloe boots with you, that I am currently coveting. I can see these boots working with literally everything I own and it's hard to find that in a shoe. Or maybe thats just what I am telling myself to somehow justify me even just dreaming about owning them. Ah to bad about their £550.00 price tag but that doesn't stop me from hoping and dreaming, hoping and dreaming! :)
Well here is something I wore on a sunday couple of weeks ago. Me and boyfriend were just popping to starbucks for a hot drink and something yummy to eat, I of course had the fruit bread. We also took my lil nephew with us, which is always interesting as he is going to be turning two soon but luckily he was a very good lil boy.
So when it came to deciding on what to wear I knew there had to be a certain amount of comfiness involved as not only was it a sunday but I also had to consider the fact that I might be chasing after a toddler that would probably be running rings around me. Of course I still wanted to look well styled and chic, so this is how it ended up.
I wore these Joseph leather leggings that I lived in last year and I just couldn't wait any longer to start wearing them again and so I teamed them with this navy lace top by Reiss and my black gilet that I love oh so much and am so excited to wearing it again, in fact I am just grateful that it didn't fall apart after wearing it so much last year. Even though individually the pieces are fairly simple, together all their different textures create interesting depth and it's details like that, that you look for and need when wearing a fairly simple outfit. I wore my marc by marc Jacobs Burgundy bag which helped lift the blue top perfectly, whilst also adding a nice splash of Autumn/winter colour. On to the shoes now and I am sure you have noticed by now that these photos aren't the best, the boyfriend was clearly being lazy that day and decided he wasn't even going to bother with the settings and because of that I have ended up with invisible feet, brilliant! So please try and ignore the overall quality of the photos and just so you know I was wearing my Chloe ballet flats, mainly for comfy-chic.
Well I hope you like this look. Thank you for any lovely comments and enjoy the rest of your sunday,
Here I am wearing these amazing wide leg trousers by Acne. I bought them last year after falling deeply in love with them and even more so when they arrived at more door. I realised that I hadn't worn them in what felt like a really long time, mainly because they are actually a bit of a mission to style because to me they are such a statement piece, which I know sounds weird as when you look at them, they appear fairly minimal but I guess it's their wide leg and higher waist.
So to mimmic their minimal yet striking qualities I teamed my neon John Smedly sweater with them, it's a mens sweater so it has this great slouchy fit, which worked well with the fit of the trousers. I then added some more colour and a bit of sparkle with this necklace. I also folded my pouch bag over so it wasn't so big and the reason I chose this one it was because of it's neutral colour. The Illesteva sunglasses were a must as they just gave the look the touch of edge that it needed. Now I did also throw my See by Chloe vest on over my shoulders which I really loved but I just wasn't sure it worked, what do you think?
Well I hope you all like this look! Lots of love to you all,
