Okay so if you've seen much of my style it would certainly appear that I like to layer, I can't say that I always set out to layer a look but a lot of the time it ends up happening. Don't get me wrong though I am not saying that I just roll out of bed and Ta-da it happens because of course there is a certain amount of trial and era when it comes to layering. But the reason I am talking about layering today is because when I wore this outfit my mum and sister made the comment, "got enough layers" I was little confused as I didn't consider there to be to many. In my mind me wearing a shirt, cardigan, jacket and scarf, was a combination I would think to be quite common in these colder months, I guess the difference being was the way I was wearing the layers, they are not all hiding under my buttoned up coat and don't get me wrong I am not saying I took the layered comment negatively as I love how this layered outfit looks but I just think it's just funny how changing the way you wear a general winter combination by simply leaving some buttons undone, throwing your jacket over your shoulders in an oh so nonchalant like manner instead of wearing it the way one is supposed to and simply by wearing your bag across the body can make all the difference, not only for style reasons but also in how others will perceive the look.
Anyway on to the outfit. I borrowed my sisters checked shirt and teamed it with my J Brands for classic and casual combo. I found my chunky cable-knit mens cardigan and wore that for cosiness and warmth, which I then finished of with my light parka and my red Topshop scarf that I can't stop wearing at the moment. To throw the casual side a bit of balance I wore my pointy KG kurt geiger Boots to give the outfit a smart twist whilst still keeping with those classic tones.
Well hope you enjoy this post my lovelies. Thanks and take care,
