Firstly, i'm sorry that the quality of these photos aren't that great, shooting inside, i'm finding to be a little bit hit and miss. I've had this vintage jacket for years now and i've only ever worn it once or twice but finally I was inspired to once again style and wear this velvet piece.
It be would hard to believe that a storm hit not all that long after taking these photos but it did, so we were really quite lucky to get these sunny shots when we did.
It's been a very long time since i've worn this fringed bag of mine, which was bought from Topshop years ago and I remember wearing it non stop, as at the time I was super into tanned leather bags. Anyway a few years on it's back but rather then over the shoulder, i'm using it as a clutch giving it a slightly more relaxed and slouchier feel. I loved the textured look it created being paired with my super fluffy fury vest. Dressing for the crazy weather these last few weeks, has certainly been no easy task.
So, this time tomorrow I will be Paris! Indulging in the addictive allure that is Paris fashion week. Once again I have to thank my supportive boyfriend for coming along with me, it's really not his thing but he puts up with anyway. I've been checking out the weather forecast like a crazy person and unfortunately the weather isn't looking great but who knows, the last time I went it was supposed to rain and it didn't, so i'm just going to remain hopeful. This time i've definitely overpacked, maybe it's because I missed out on LFW, I feel I must over compensate sartorially.
Anyway, of course I have scheduled some outfit posts, so please remember to stop by and if you want to see what i'm getting up to in Paris, then make sure you are following me on Instagram: @lellavictoria
Though it's nothing new and I along with the other stylish folk have been substituting tights for leather leggings for a while now, I still wanted to express my feelings in todays blogpost title! I'm addicted to wearing my leather trousers instead of tights and not just the legging style, I think the baggier ones can totally look cool to. They are great way to rock the skirt/dress over trousers trend without straying to far from your comfort zone. They undoubtedly add more texture and edge to your look and lets face it they are a lot warmer.
And no, i'm not carrying a dead cat/ dog or whatever animal you see fit, this is actually a really old bag of mine I found hidden away the other day. It does have a shoulder strap but instead i'm holding it as a clutch. What can I say, other then I loveee texture!
For years I hated these puffer jackets, they reminded me of people who had given up on their appearance but since learning it's not what you wear it's how you wear it, i'm now a lot more open to what comes into my wardrobe. I bought this one a couple of years ago now, you've probably seen me wear it in a fair few of my outfit posts and it's so undeniably warm, that sometimes I can't help but reach for it in these cold, windy and wet temps.
The boyfriend and I were taking our little nephew out for the afternoon with no real idea of what we were going to do, so jeans, comfy footwear and a good knit was the fail-safe option I went for in the end, well, and the puffer jacket. The wind was baltic that day and seeing as i'm far from any kind of professional model, I really couldn't fake the fact that I was super cold and so that's my poor excuse for my face in these photos!
